The aim of the Magic School is to provide quality education, in a safe and supportive setting, to magicians of all ages and at all levels of magical development. Our seminars and workshops seek in-depth coverage of their subjects and, consequently, provide an important alternative to the traditional magic club or convention lecture.

There's simply no better way to improve your performance than one-on-one
direction from a master teacher. Most of our faculty are available for private
consultations, either in person or over the phone. Many students come in a few
days early or stay a few days after a class to meet with our directors, managers, constumers, and marketing staff. To schedule a consultation, contact Tobias, 702-697-7002.

The seven-day Master Class: Since most everyone who has attended a McBride Master Class tells us that it should have lasted longer than three days, we have now initiated the new seven day McBride Master Class which allows even more personal time to be spent focusing on each student's work. There will also be two events to which you may bring a guest or family member. The seven-day class also includes tickets for one of the major Las Vegas magic shows, including Lance Burton and Mac King, and relaxed time with the stars who will be available to answer your questions.

a weekend of mystery and mastery.
For the very first time ever, we are offering a conference designed to explore the mind/body connection between performance magic and the martial arts.
Jeff McBride is world famous for his unique fusion of martial arts and magic. Jeff has studied many Eastern martial arts iuncluding Judo, Aikido, Tae Kwan Do, and Go-Ju Ryu Karate. Jeff will be your guide on a mystical voyage that will explore both Eastern and Western martial arts. You will learn ways to incorporate magic into your existing martial arts routines, or learn how to utilize the martial arts to enhance your magic show. Jeff will be joined by his long-time friend and mystery school alumi, Bryce Kuhlman. Bryce has a deep passion for Kung Fu, and will share his insights with us. Also joining us will be Tom Meseroll, author of Magus: Master of Martial Magic, a recently published novel that explores the martial arts from a magical perspective.

Magic and Meaning 2008

The Magic and Meaning Conference is a distinctive, annual small-group conference that focuses on creating meaningful magic routines, effective scripts, and new venues for performance. If you love magic, storytelling, motivational speaking, the philosophy of magic—or want to learn more about it—this is the place to be!
The 2008 conference will feature Keynote Addresses by Jeff McBride, Eugene Burger, Robert E. Neale, Lawrence Hass, George Parker, David Goodsell, and a number of short talks by experts on subjects relating to the themes of the conference. Also, the conference will offer interactive small group sessions as well as “works in progress” shows where we create a safe and fun space to try new ideas and get valuable feedback on your magic.
In addition, Las Vegas guest magicians will stop by to offer their advice. You are also invited to attend 2 of the Las Vegas Magickal community’s annual events: THE LAS VEGAS WITCHES AND WIZARDS BALL, and BONE DANCE—an evening of storytelling, drumming, and dancing around a sacred fire circle in the Nevada desert!

Magic and Medicine

Jeff McBride and Eugene Burger are pleased to offer a special seminar for medical practitioners of all sorts: physicians, nurses, therapists, holistic practitioners, and other professionals who wish to understand how to apply the powerful skills of performance magic to enhance the healing relationship.
In this four day event, experts will lead the participants through exercises that will transform their practices and themselves. They will examine the value of ritual, theater and the performance of magic, and learn how practitioners of many cultures have incorporated these potent skills into their medical traditions. Through examples drawn from the worldwide experience of the instructors, participants will learn how to prevent and remedy hazards to establishing the therapeutic relationship.
